Chelsea make progress in Pogba deal

Football Express News understands that Chelsea have made developments in their pursuit of Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba.

Pogba has been impressing for the Serie A title winners since he joined from Manchester United in 2012, helping them win the Scudetto in the last two seasons.

Gaining interest from a number of big spending European clubs, Pogba has attracted the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea, with the latter being heavily linked in the last two weeks.

Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of the 21-year-old and looked to sign the midfielder whilst he was manager of Spanish giants Real Madrid and it is understood that he will now a serious move at Chelsea.

A reported £60m bid is to be made by Chelsea, whom have held primary discussions with the Italian side over his availability and price tag.

Whilst those discussions went no further than determining the likelihood of signing the French international, Chelsea are understood to be buoyed by the attitude and welcoming conversation they held with Juventus.

Should Pogba join Chelsea, he would follow Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas, who joined earlier this summer for a feee of £30m.
