Former Paris Saint Germain player Alain Roche has spoken about the club’s links with Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria.
Argentine winger Di Maria has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League this season following his British transfer record signing from Real Madrid last summer.
Links with a potential move out of Old Trafford have since been present in the media and it is PSG who have been leading the list of suitors.
Linked with a move for the former Benfica man before he joined United, the Ligue 1 champions are keen to make a cut-price move this summer and Roche believes he would be a ‘perfect’ signing.
“You have to score goals in order to make the difference at the highest level,” the ex-France international told L’Equipe.
“It gives defenders and midfielders a lot of confidence when they know their attackers can score a goal from out of nowhere. It changes your entire approach.
“In my opinion, PSG should sign a left winger who could make the difference. Argentina international Di Maria would be a perfect fit.
“He can open up a defence, create chances, score goals and can play in all positions in attack. He would be a huge bonus for PSG.”
