Liverpool make moves to sign Man United’s Chilean target

Liverpool are interested in Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Saturday turned into an emotional day for everyone involved at Liverpool football club with captain Steven Gerrard playing his last home game and his exit to LA Galaxy has prompted the club to scour Europe for a potential replacement.

A number of players have been linked with Roma’s Miralem Pjanic and Juventus’ Andrea Pirlo linked, but reports coming out Italy claim that the Anfield club could be set to make a summer move for Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Vidal has been wanted by Premier League rivals Manchester United for some-time, although interest has somewhat softened in recent years.

Vidal has been in superb form for the Italian side this season and played a big part in helping them overcome Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final last week.

It is reported that the Italian champions would be keen to sell the midfielder though, and Liverpool believe that they can sign him for a relatively cheap price.
