Manchester City have been reported to have made further talks with Wolfsburg over a possible transfer for former Chelsea ace Kevin De Bruyne, although there has been no report that an offer has been put forward yet, according to The Mail.
According to reports, City have stepped up their interest in the Belgian, with reports suggesting the German side are looking to cash in on the player for a fee in the region of £40m this summer.
City have had their interest in the 23-year-old confirmed recently with the players agent admitting they have made contact. But City boss Manuel Pellegrini will have to face competition from a host of clubs to land his signature, with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich also said to be keen.
The midfielder struggled to find game time at with his time at Chelsea, making only five starts and four substitute appearances for the Stamford Bridge outfit following his move from Genk two years earlier.
However, the midfielder has had a sensational season in Germany, scoring 15 goals in all competitions for Wolfsburg and creating 19 others in the Bundesliga this season.
