Arsenal will receive £3 million as part of Thomas Vermaelen’s move to Barcelona last summer, should the Spanish giants win the Champions League.
The Belgian central defender left Arsenal last summer for a move to Barcelona but has failed to appear for the Catalan club on the field.
Injuries and the form of Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano have his chance of appearances hard to come by, although he has returned to feature on the bench as an unused substitute in recent weeks.
Arsenal will not mind though, as reports in England and in Spain claim that the North London club will receive a £3m payout should Barca win the league when they face Juventus next month.
Barca breezed past Bayern Munich to make the June 6th final, whilst Juve beat Real Madrid in the competitions other semi final.
