According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester City are closing in on a £35m deal for Wolfsburg’s Kevin De Bruyne.
The Belgium international, who signed for Wolfsburg from Chelsea in January 2014, has impressed during his time in the Bundesliga.
After an excellent season at the Volkswagen Arena, the 23-year-old has attracted interest elsewhere – with PSG, Bayern Munich, and City all linked with the midfielder.
The Belgian has played 48 Bundesliga games since his arrival, and he’s found the net 13 times. He may not have got the amount of game time at Stamford Bridge as he would have wanted, but De Bryne will be eager to make his mark back in the Premier League with Manchester City.
If the move does go through, Manuel Pellegrini will look to fund the deal with the sale of the out-of-favour Stevan Jovetic to Inter Milan.
The Citizens currently sit second in the Barclays Premier League table, three points ahead of Arsenal, who have a game in hand.
