After an eventful Saturday in the premier league, with Burnley beating Hull and Sunderland beating Everton everyone had to be on the top of their game, now we have a look at who had shockers.

Vlad Chiriches (Tottenham Hotspur)

Chiriches played for a Tottenham team who got beat 3-0 by an in-form Stoke side, and with both teams having arguably nothing to play for it seemed like the game was never going to stand out. Chiriches got an early booking by taking out Walters on the half way line stopping Stoke to counter. then just after half time Chiriches lost possession before hauling down Diouf to get sent off with most of the second half still to play.

Roberto Soldado (Tottenham Hotspur)

Another Tottenham player to make the flops of the day is Roberto Soldado as he is yet to shine in the Spurs shirt. He has only scored 1 goal all season, and the 40 minutes of game time today he couldn’t contribute anything going forward yet again.

Saido Berahino (West Brom)

Saido Berahino with the great first half of the season the young Englishman had, he has struggled to find his form in the second part of the season. Today he missed some glorious opportunities at the Newcastle goal, and was playing against a defence who had lost their previous 8 prior to today.

Eljero Elia (Southampton)

Elia of Southampton is yet to get into the rhythm of the Premier League, after his move from Werder Bremen in the January transfer window. He has got the pace to tear sides apart but he isn’t working hard enough to keep up with the intensity of the English league.

Angel Di Maria (Manchester United)

Finally Angel Di Maria who has been in the news this week, as he has been linked with a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain after a poor first season to say the least. Di Maria pulled out of the game today as there is a “Virus” going round the Manchester United training ground at the moment, Van Gaal says the illness has got nothing to do with rumors of him potentially moving away from Old Trafford in the Summer.
