Aston Villa hitman Darren Bent has told Sky Sports’ Fantasy Football Club that he would like to return to Villa Park to play, but he’s also open to a move back to Derby County.

Bent spent the last few months of the season on loan at the iPro Stadium, but despite netting 10 Championship goals, Derby County failed to reach the Championship play-offs.

The former England international, who missed a vital penalty in the 3-0 home defeat to Reading last week, spoke to Fantasy Football Club about his future.

He said: “Who knows? It is a fantastic football club, I would be lying if I said it wouldn’t be nice to go back.

“But at the same time I have had a great time at Derby, they are firmly in my thoughts too, so I will go away and have a think in the summer.”

Bent has made a total of 72 appearances for the Villans, since making the £18m switch from Sunderland in January 2011.
