Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in making a summer move for £30m rated Aston Villa star Christian Benteke.
Chelsea are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season and Benteke has been identified as a possible target, with some claiming he is the perfect replacement for ageing striker Didier Drogba.
Villa will be hoping to keep hold of the 24-year-old, and have attempted to fend off interest by placing the huge price tag on the striker.
But that has not stopped the Blues and Liverpool in keeping their interest in the Belgian goalscorer.
The Reds are looking to add a proven goalscorer to their side this season after the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona last summer and the injury problems to England international Daniel Sturridge.
It has been a hit and miss season for Benteke at Villa due to injuries but his return has seen them reach the FA Cup final where they will meet Arsenal.
