Newcastle United boss Carver: I’m the best coach in the Premier League

Despite Newcastle United’s end of season scramble to make sure they remain in the Premier League, John Carver has claimed he thinks he’s the best coach in the League.

Anyone that follows football has started to feel sorry for Newcastle United fans as their club seems to be in complete turmoil (apart from the Sunderland fans!).

Since calling from Alan Pardew’s departure, Newcastle have seemingly gone from bad to worse. The fans can’t stand the owner, the manager loves the club but can’t seem to get a win, and the players at times have looked completely disinterested.

This horrible spell has seen John Carver’s Newcastle pick up only 9 points from a possible 48 since he took over at the end of 2014. They now find themselves in an unexpected relegation battle, as the teams around them seem to have found some form while Newcastle can’t seem to get a result anywhere.

Therefore, Carver’s claims of being the best coach in the League came as somewhat as a shock this week and haven’t gone down too well with the Toon Army.

This weekend’s fixture, a home clash against fellow scramblers West Brom, will be a real test for John Carver and his side in their bid to remain in the Premier League.
