Angel Di Maria is set to leave Manchester United and join Paris Saint Germain on a loan deal, according to reports.

The Argentina international has failed to establish himself at Old Trafford and has received negative reaction from the club’s fans, media men and boss Louis van Gaal.

Having signed for a British record fee of £59.7m form Real Madrid last summer, the former Benfica man was widely expected to continue the form that saw him help the Spanish side to a Copa del Rey and Champions League double last season.

However, he has struggled to adapt under boss Van Gaal and has come under a wave of criticism, prompting reports that he could leave the club this summer.

And, it is now understood that he and his agent, Mendes, are discussing terms with other clubs, most notably Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain, who have offered the winger a one-year loan deal.

United are keen to allow Di Maria to leave this summer after capturing Dutch top scorer Memphis Depay earlier this week.

Di Maria has scored four goals in 28 appearances this season for United.
