Man City boss has his say on Yaya Toure’s situation

Yaya Toure’s agent dropped a huge bombshell earlier this week when he told Sky Sports News HQ that the Ivorian was ‘90% certain’ to leave Manchester City in the summer.

However, speaking ahead of Manchester City’s Premier League clash with Queens Park Rangers on Sunday, City boss Manuel Pellegrini refused to be drawn into any speculation on Toure’s future.

“We will talk about the next season in the right moment. Everybody can say what they want about different rumours.

“I never answered to Yaya’s agent so I will not do so now. Yaya has a contract here at the moment. So at the moment we are about the best way to finish the season – and then we’ll see what happens.

“I’m not disappointed because everyone can talk about what they think is better for him but we are all focused on our team – players and managers. What the agent says is not my problem.”

The Ivory Coast skipper has had an extremely successful five-year career at the Etihad Stadium – winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and a League Cup.
