According to recent reports in the Daily Star, Manchester United’s Dutch hitman Robin van Persie could be heading to Turkish giants Fenerbahce in the summer.

Turkish newspaper Milliyet have reported that Fenerbahce have found a sponsor that could finance the deal for Van Persie. The Dutch international has been out of form this season, and has been heavily tipped with a move away from Old Trafford in the summer.

Since the arrival of new boss and fellow countryman Louis van Gaal, Van Persie has endured a stop-start season that has only seen him make 26 Premier League appearances thus far – scoring just 10 times in the process.

Reports suggest that Van Gaal is ready to freshen up his striking options during the summer – which could include the exits of Radamel Falcao, Javier Hernandez and indeed Robin van Persie.

If the 31-year-old Holland skipper does become available, he will surely not be shy of any suitors.
