Liverpool are closing in on a completed deal for Rennes winger Paul-Georges Ntep, according to L’Equipe.
Ntep has been scouted on various occasions this season by a number of Premier League sides but it is Liverpool who have been the most frequent visitors to Rennes in recent weeks.
And, according to L’Equipe and a number of reports, the youngster is on the verge of a move to Anfield after visiting the Merseyside club twice in the last 10 days.
The 22-year-old who has scored 14 goals in 35 games this season for Rennes, is keen to sign on the dotted line and work with Brendan Rodgers.
Born in Cameroon, Ntep has featured for France’s U18, U19, U20 and U21 side but is yet to receive a full senior cap.
