According to PSV Eindhoven’s official website, Manchester united have won the race to sign Dutch sensation Mephis Depay.
Depay, who has been heavily linked with a number of clubs, has chosen Old Trafford as his next home. PSV chief Marcel Brands told PSV.nl.
“We are very proud of this upcoming transfer which came with huge momentum.
“Memphis has gone through all the teams at PSV youth levels and he has played an important part in this season’s title win.
“He is a wonderful component to our training and will make the transition to a magnificent club in a beautiful competition.”
Louis van Gaal is said to be a huge admirer of his fellow countryman, and now it looks as though he has his wish by agreeing terms with PSV.
The 21-year-old has spent four senior years with the Dutch club, and his stock has risen every year. Depay has played a total of 122 times for Eindhoven, scoring an impressive 49 times. Once the deal is complete, Depay will become Manchester United’s first signing of the summer.
