Manchester United are leading the race for Ghana prospect Bernard Mensah.
The Ghana youngster has been impressing on a weekly basis for Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes this season and has gained interest from a number of top European clubs.
Reports have suggested that Valencia and Inter Milan had been in attendance this season to cast an eye over the talent, but it is now understood that Man United are heading interest.
The 20-year-old has already appeared for Ghana’s senior side and has spoken of a possible summer exit, remaining focused on his season with Guimaraes.
He told Ghanaian website Allsports: “I keep hearing about these links, but I have been saying my focus is to play well and help Guimaraes into the Europa League.
“It motivates me to hear the reports about the big clubs showing interest in me but for now I belong to Guimaraes.”
