Southampton are keen to make a £6m move for Legia Warsaw midfielder Ondrej Duda.
Saints boss Ronald Koeman is fully aware of the summer sales of last summer at the St Mary’s club and is planning to make initial moves to sign a number of transfer targets.
The Dutch coach is currently attempting to convince Nathaniel Clyne to stay at the club, whilst midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is also being hounded by interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City.
A potential replacement for the French midfielder should he leave is Duda, a young midfielder who currently plays for Legia Warsaw.
The 20-year-old has scored eight goals in 31 games for his club this season and has gained plaudits off a number of onlooking scouts.
The Slovenia international has been watched by the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, but it is understood Southampton are leading with interest.
