Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal target Felipe Melo looks unlikely to make the move to the Premier League this summer, according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Galatasaray midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to England’s top tier in the past – but according to reports in Italy, it looks as though the Brazilian star wants a move back to the Serie A.

The 31-year-old told Gazzetta dello Sport: “I’ve exchanged text messages with Roberto (Mancini, Inter Milan head coach). They were to say good luck, nothing more. However, apart from the friendship which binds us, I’d like to work with him again.

“I’d go back to Italy, but it depends who wants me. I still have a home in Turin, but I often go to Milan to shop, my family would be delighted.”

The former Fiorentina and Juventus man has made 28 appearances in all competitions for the Turkish club this season.
