Chelsea are set to smash the British transfer record with a £75m bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, Football Express News understands.

The former Manchester United midfielder has been linked with a summer exit from Juventus, despite playing a massive part in their three successive Serie A titles.

The French international has attracted the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, whilst Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain have also been interested with some reports claiming they had issued a bid of £60m.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho is keen to pursue a summer move and is said to be heavily considering a bid of £75m, which would smash the current British transfer record held by Manchester United’s Angel Di Maria, who cost £59.7m last summer.

Mourinho has been in discussions with the Italian side and has given the green light for them to sign Brazilian duo Oscar this summer, meaning he could be included in a deal which would see Pogba move to Stamford Bridge.
