Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing up a move for Almeria goalkeeper Julian Cuesta, according to Marca.

Spurs’ current No.1, Hugo Lloris, has been heavily linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer. Manchester United are said to be keen of the French international, if they lose David de Gea to Real Madrid.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is wasting little time in eyeing up potential replacements for Lloris, and Cuesta looks to be the ideal candidate.

The 24-year-old Spanish stopper, who only became Almeria first-choice keeper in December, seems to have caught the eye of Pochettino. Cuesta started with Sevilla B, before moving on Sevilla then Almeria. Newcastle United and a whole host of Serie A clubs are also reportedly monitoring him.

Spurs will be looking to do all in their power to keep the French captain at White Hart Lane, after becoming a real stalwart for the side, since arriving from Lyon in an £8m deal in August 2012.
