Liverpool and Manchester United transfer target Memphis Depay is ‘99.9%’ certain to make a move to the Premier League this summer.

Depay has been in sensational form for PSV this term, netting 21 goals in 28 league games to guide them to their first Eredivisie title since 2008.

That title looks to be the Netherlands international parting gift to PSV, though, with officials at the Dutch side apparently resigned to losing him in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old has attracted attention from a host of clubs including Liverpool, Man United and Paris Saint-Germain, and Arnesen – who worked at PSV for 13 years between 1991 and 2004 – believes that England and the Premier League is his most likely destination.

“For me, it’s 99.9 per cent [that Depay will move to the Premier League],” he said.

“Yes, he will [be a success]. I’ve seen him many times this season and he is going from strength to strength, even though he’s only 21 years old.

“It’s difficult to stop him. It will, of course, take time because it’s totally different than in Eredivisie.

“Don’t expect too much in the beginning but he’s definitely the big talent and he’ll be good in the Premier League.”
