Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy has recently suffered an injury setback and is set to miss the Gunners visit to the KC Stadium to play Hull City on Monday night.

According to reports, the defender has received a slight injury setback with a hamstring strain in training and as a result is a ‘major doubt’ to be in the squad for the game against Hull.

The 29-year-old has picked up a number of injuries this term, with a combination of ankle and shoulder problems restricting his first-team starts to just 10 so far this season.

Both the ankle and shoulder injuries required surgery, although this latest complaint is thought to be much less severe.

The former Newcastle United man featured against Reading in Arsenal’s victorious FA Cup semi-final, but he may now drop back out of the team for the rest of the season.

Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side are currently third in the Barclays Premier League having accumulated 67 points, two points ahead of Manchester United in fourth.
