Man United striker linked with move to Stoke

Manchester United’s teenage striker James Wilson could be set for a loan move to Stoke City, according to reports in the Stoke Sentinel.

Wilson, who is a Stoke local boy, has made a good impression since featuring in the United first team this season. The 19-year-old has played 13 times in the Premier League for the Red Devils, and he’s already found the net on three occasions.

Louis van Gaal has reportedly said that Wilson can leave on loan next season, which has put a number of Premier League blubs on red alert to secure his services. Mark Hughes’ Stoke City are said to be Wilson’s likely choice of destination, considering the striker was born in Biddulph, Staffordshire.

Wilson has been touted as very much ‘one for the future’ at Old Trafford, but a spell on loan would only further his development.

Manchester United look set for a return to Champions League football next season, after missing out this campaign.
