Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah has been reported to be stalling over a new contract to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

The winger has been in incredible form since arriving at Fiorentina on loan in January, having scored seven goals in 12 appearances for the Italian side.

The 22-year-old joined Chelsea from former club Basel last summer for a fee of £11m, but had then gone on to only make three Premier League appearances for the Blues before starting his loan time at Fiorentina. And now it looks like he is considering where his future lies.

“Chelsea gave me the opportunity to reach that level. I still have one month to make a decision about my future.” Salah said.

“I’m enjoying being here and my objective is to reach the Europa League final.”

Chelsea were suggested to be expecting an £18m transfer bid from Fiorentina for the Egyptian winger – these comments may suggest an offer is on its way.
