Real Madrid’s legendary goalkeeper Iker Casillas could be on his way to Arsenal, according to Spanish TV programme Jugones.

The 33-year-old has spent his entire 16-year career at the Bernabeu. But according to recent reports in Spain, he could be on his way to a shock move to the Premier League with Arsenal.

The stopper, who has come under some criticism from the Madrid fans this season, may want a fresh challenge in his career. The Gunners have reportedly been long-term admirers of the Spanish goalkeeper for a number of years, and now Jugones, which is broadcast on the TV channel La Sexta, claims Casillas is interested in a move to the Emirates.

With Arsenal ‘keeper Wojciech Szczęsny having a disappointing season between the sticks, Arsene Wenger could look to Casillas to come in and keep the impressive David Ospina on his toes. The Colombian international has enjoyed an extended spell in the Arsenal goal, with Szczęsny dropping to the substitutes bench.
