Spurs to hold firm over Man United target Hugo Lloris

Tottenham Hotspur will reject any offers this summer for keeper Hugo Lloris after Manchester United made tentative moves to sign the French international.

The 28-year-old only signed a new five-year contract at White Hart Lane last summer, but the goal-stopper’s future at the club has since become increasingly doubtful.

The France international has attracted attention from all over Europe with links with clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and United, who would be keen to make a move if they lose current number one David De Gea to Real Madrid.

Reports earlier this week claimed that due to Spurs’ not qualifying for the Champions League this season, the Frenchman could leave for £14m due to a clause in his contract.

However, that talk has now subsided and Spurs have remained hard in their stance – not to sell the keeper.

De Gea has been offered a £200,000-per-week deal to remain at United, but it is expected that he will return to Madrid, making Lloris’ desire to leave Spurs a possibility.
