Real Madrid will be forced to decide on a number of transfer options this summer as they look set to be banned from transfer activity along with Atletico Madrid.

FIFA will impose two transfer window bans on Madrid duo Real and Atletico after they repeatedly violated the riles and regulations regarding the transfers of international youth players.

Barcelona are currently banned for a similar act, and heavy reports in Spanish press now claim that both Madrid side’s have been told of their impending ban.

Whilst a ban is now expected, it is not yet understood whether or not Real Madrid and Atletico will be allowed to sign players this summer; something they could do if both appeal the embargo.

According to Cadena SER, Atletico Madrid have already received official communication from FIFA about the ban, whilst Real have known for some-time.

The decision from FIFA is now likely to affect any such moves from Chelsea for Gareth Bale and Real, who are keen to sign David de Gea from Manchester United.

The latter has been strongly linked since the turn of the year with a move to Santiago Bernabeu and is the favourite to replace ageing superstar Iker Casillas.
