Liverpool eye Manchester City striker

Liverpool are keen to sign out-of-favour Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic.

The 25-year-old has endured a difficult season at the Etihad, struggling to find the back of the net – scoring just 12 goals in 44 appearances.

But Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is said to be an admirer of the striker and could put forward a bid to bring him to Anfield in the summer.

The Montenegro international isn’t expected to cost the Reds a huge amount, and Liverpool are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.

Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool side are currently fifth in the Barclays Premier League having accumulated 58 points, tied with Tottenham Hotspur in sixth.
