BREAKING: Shaw to undergo Man United medical tomorrow

Luke Shaw

Southampton left back Luke Shaw is on track for his highly anticipated big-money move to Manchester United and will undergo his medical at Old Trafford tomorrow.

The 2013/2014 season proved something of a battle for Manchester United, following the retirement of their long-standing coach Sir Alex Ferguson.

With the side having taken several knocks under the control of successor David Moyes, struggling with out-of-form players and limping to a 7th place league finish, the Red Devils are certainly not hanging around in their quest to boost their flagging side with fresh new talent for next season.

Shaw, 18, is set to be Man United’s second acquisition of the week following the announcement earlier today that their move for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera is due to complete, subject to receipt of International Transfer Certificate.

The deal for Southampton’s home-grown left back is worth in the region of £34M, a record fee for the south coast club. This not only strengthens their financial standing but serves as a huge credit to their youth academy too.

Fresh back from Brazil, Shaw arrived in Manchester yesterday with the England squad following their failed World Cup campaign. He will undergo his medical at Old Trafford tomorrow.
