Chelsea are set to miss out on Brazilian starlet Nathan after Porto made a better offer to Brazilian club Atletico Paranese.
Nathan, who plays as an attacking midfielder has been impressing a number of top European sides of late after some highly entertaining performances for the Brazil U17 side.
The youngster has continued that form into the domestic season but recent contract issues, sparked by interest from the likes of Chelsea have halted such improvement.
Chelsea made a concrete offer for the youngster last month, which prompted a medical at Stamford Bridge and an agreement in principle over contract terms.
The 19-year-old is said to be desperate to link up with fellow Brazilian’s Filipe Luis, Willian, Oscar and Brazilian born Diego Costa at Chelsea next season.
However, an offer from Doyen Sports Group, who represent Portuguese side Porto has now thrown such a move into doubt.
The Primiera Liga side have made a substantially bigger offer for the midfielder.
