Bayern Munich are interested in making a summer move for Manchester United target Ilkay Gundogan, according to BILD.

Reports last Friday afternoon claimed that the German midfielder had agreed terms to a £21.5m deal to join the Premier League side, however, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watze admitted that although the club would consider a sale, talks of a completed deal to United were false.

“With Manchester United there is zero contact,” he told Sky Deutschland on Saturday.

And, his comments have allowed other interested parties to consider a move for the battling midfielder.

Real Madrid and Juventus have also held interest in the past, whilst Arsenal and Man City are interested, but it is Bayern Munich who hold the cards to a summer move, having completed deals for former Dortmund duo Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski in the past.

Gundogan missed a full year of football through a back injury before returning earlier this season and he has since re-found the form that made him one of the most impressive European midfielder’s.
