Real Madrid are now considering to sell Gareth Bale this summer after looking at a number of possible summer targets.

The Welsh international, who completed a record £85m move to Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, has been linked with a summer return to England with Manchester United being heavily linked.

Chelsea have also been interested but it is United’s desire to sign the winger this summer as Louis van Gaal looks to build a title and possible Champions League winning side.

Bale has had a hit and miss year with Madrid, having been criticised for a number of performances by the club’s fans.

Youth coach Zinedine Zidane had commented earlier this month that Madrid would not sell Bale, but after sitting down as a group to discuss next season’s plans; it is now understood that Bale could be sold to fund the moves for other transfer targets.

Madrid are keen to improve their defensive options and add a new attacker.
