Inter Milan are ready to match Atletico Madrid’s bid for Chelsea defender Filipe Luis, Football Express News understands.
The Brazilian joined the Blues last summer from Atletico Madrid, together with Diego Costa, but while his teammate has enjoyed a brilliant start to the career in England, thedefender has largely struggled to make an impact.
Luis had made limited Premier League appearances as he continues to play second fiddle to Cesar Azpilicueta, and it appears he is now close to a summer exit.
It is known that that the defender notified his former team-mate and close friend Joao Miranda of his desire to leave Chelsea and it was claimed in Spanish press that former club Atletico were keen on offering £15.8m.
However, that interest is now being tested by Italian side Inter, who are keen to lure the Brazilian to the San Siro.
Luis arrived in London for a figure of £15.8m last summer, but according to Transfermarkt.com, the defender’s value has not de-valued, making him available at the same price.
