Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has accepted a move to Manchester United, according to reports.

The German midfielder will see his current deal with the Bundesliga side expire next summer, leading to heavy talk that he will leave at the end of the season.

Jurgen Klopp’s recent decision to leave Signal Iduna Park this summer is said to have also added to reports of a number of stars wanting to leave and Gundogan has been mentioned amongst those.

And, according to various reports in German and English press over the weekend, the midfielder has accepted a deal to join Louis van Gaal’s Man United.

The 24-year-old returned to full fitness earlier this season after a year long spell on the sidelines through a back injury.

United have also been busy the past weekend in offering keeper David De Gea a new and improved £200,000-per-week deal to stay at the club and reject Real Madrid’s interest.
