English football giants Chelsea will visit Australia for the first time in 50 years after reportedly agreeing to play Sydney FC in June of 2015.

The champions in waiting are expected to play the A-League team in a friendly on June 2 at the 83,000 capacity Stadium Australia.

The match would take place four days after fellow Premier League club Tottenham meets Sydney FC at the same venue. Liverpool and Villarreal will also play friendlies in Australia a fortnight after the European season concludes.

A deal with Chelsea executives had been agreed to but will not be confirmed until at least next week. The match will most likely be the last commitment before the players break up for the off-season and the international matches including the major tournament Euro 2016.

If the London club are crowned champions they will be the second
