Newcastle United look to swoop Liverpool target

Newcastle United are lining up a deal to hijack Premier League rivals Liverpool and Everton target Andre Ayew in a four-year-deal, reports the Mirror.

The forwards contract is set to expire in the summer and according to reports Newcastle have commenced talks with the players representatives.

The 25-year-old is suggested to be eager for a move to the Premier League, and has sparked attention from clubs such as Everton, Swansea, Liverpool and now Newcastle.

The competition to land the player are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season but it is now Newcastle that appear to be the front-runners to secure his services.

John Carver’s Newcastle United side are currently fourteenth in the Barclays Premier League having accumulated 35 points, with Liverpool in fifth on 57 points.
