Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been told by West Ham United to pay £25m for defensive target Aaron Cresswell, according to reports.

West Ham were hoping to hold on to the talented defender through to next season but interest from the Premier League‘s big players in Chelsea and Manchester City has now seen them look for replacements.

Jose Mourinho is keen to explore a move for the 25-year-old as he looks to replace Filipe Luis, who is fully expected to re-join Atletico Madrid after failing to impress at Stamford Bridge.

However, his move for the young English defender has hit a standstill after the Hammers reportedly informed him that any move would cost a minimum £25m.

Cresswell joined West Ham from Ipswich for just £2m last summer and has become one of the most impressive defenders in the English top flight.
