Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels could remain at the club past the summer, despite rumours of a move to Manchester United.
The German World Cup winning centre-back was reported to have agreed a move to United in recent weeks with links stemming back to the winter period.
Talk continues to gain pace and with Dortmund’s poor domestic season playing it’s part, many had tipped the former Bayern Munich youngster to cement his move to Old Trafford.
However, conflicting reports have now claimed that he could remain with the Bundesliga side, despite coach Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave this summer.
New incoming coach Thomas Tuchel wants Hummels to captain the side and spearhead them back to the top of the German league and push rivals Bayern for the title.
