Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama reveals Arsenal have been watching him and want to sign the player at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old was previously linked with a move to Arsenal when he was spending his time at Celtic two-years ago.

But the midfielder ended up at Southampton for a fee of £12m, and now after showing great performances within the Premier League, Wanyama now says the Gunners are interested again.

“Wenger has been talking about me,” he told the Sun.

“He has let it be known he would like to sign me this summer.

“Arsenal are a great club and I’d love to play Champions League football as I loved being on that stage with Celtic.

“But we’ve had a fantastic season at Saints and I want to stay focused on helping the club qualify for Europe.

“Then we’ll see where I end up in the summer.”

Ronald Koeman’s Saints side are currently seventh in the Barclays Premier League having accumulated 56 points, with Arsenal in second on 66 points.
