Arsenal’s £3m transfer target of Demarai Gray has reportedly come under threat as Liverpool have emerged as the front-runners to land the Birmingham City star, according to Goal.
Arsenal were eager on making an offer for the youngster, but now it is reported that Liverpool are keen and have become the more likely destination.
Gray is Birmingham City’s biggest prospect and has attracted interest from other Premier League sides such as Everton and Tottenham Hotspur.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will be keen on securing the 18-year-old’s services, but will have to face some difficult competition.
Arsenal are currently second in the Barclays Premier League having accumulated 66 points, one point ahead of Manchester United in third.
