Arsenal put forward bid for ‘new Messi’

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini claims that Arsenal have made a bid for the ‘new Messi’ Paulo Dybala, according to Football365.

The striker has attracted attention from all over Europe and now it is reported that the Gunners have launched a bid to try and land the 21-year-old.

The Argentine has scored 13 goals this term and has been centre of attention for a host of clubs such as Roma, Chelsea, Juventus and now Arsenal.

Zamparini is keen to drum up a bidding war for his asset, telling Canal Plus: “Dybala is not Sergio Aguero but the new (Lionel) Messi. He’s not an out-and-out striker, but operates in every area of the field, like Messi.

“Will he stay? No, because the player and his agent aspire to a big club, and they’re right to do so. I’ve already received at least four offers.

“Two were from Italian clubs, and two were from abroad, and they include Arsenal and Juventus.”

Arsene Wengers’ Arsenal side are currently second in the Barclays Premier League having accumulated 66 points, one point ahead of Manchester United in third.
