Arsenal will defend the FA Cup in next month’s final at Wembley thanks to an Alexis Sanchez brace against Reading on Saturday afternoon.

The game started with both sides having equal amounts of possession but it was always the Premier League side who looked like scoring over Steve Clarke’s men.

And, Chilean Alexis Sanchez continued his consistently brilliant form to open the scoring after 39 minutes following a delightful through ball from Mesut Ozil.

The game looked like Arsenal’s to throw away and that, they nearly did as keeper Wojciech Szczesny made an error in allowing the excellent Garath McCleary to level the tie.

The game would then head to extra time, although it might not have if Aaron Ramsey had put his late minute effort in the net, rather than hitting the post.

Reading keeper Adam Federici would then be the difference but for the wrong reasons as he allowed Sanchez to squirm the ball through his legs and send Arsenal into the final, where they will meet either Aston Villa or Liverpool.
