Valencia’s proposed summer bid for Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao will not go ahead as they have agreed a move for Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo.

Falcao, has struggled to re-find the form that made him arguably the deadliest striker in European football this season at Old Trafford.

Signed on a one-year loan deal from Ligue 1 side Monaco, the Colombian could have signed for United on a permanent deal, agreed last summer, but Louis van Gaal is not interested in any such move.

A number of top European clubs have remained interest, and Valencia are one of those, with Falcao reportedly keen to make a return to the Spanish league.

However, any such proposed move from Los Che for the former Atletico Madrid forward man is unlikely as they are unable to recoup the funds needed.

Valencia have agreed a £24m deal for Man City striker Alvaro Negredo and have been trying to get out of that deal in order to move for Falcao, however, City are unwilling to end the agreement.
