Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure will NOT be forced out of the club as he desires to see out his remaining £23m contract.

Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has been strongly linked with the former Barcelona midfielder in recent weeks, although that interest seems to have died down in recent weeks after claims from the Italian club that any such move would prove too expensive.

The Ivorian has been linked with an exit from the Etihad stadium in recent summers after publicly showing his unhappiness at the club and after a season of disappointment, it now seems that City officials are happy to let him go.

However, at the age of 31, Toure is keen to see out his contract with the reigning Premier League champions.

His current deal sees him earn £220,000 per week and there remains two years on his current deal, meaning if City fail to sell this summer, Toure could be set to cost the English club a whopping £23m until the summer of 2017.
