Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis will be out of action for up to four weeks with a hamstring injury, reports Football365.

Gomis was forced off during last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Everton at the Liberty Stadium and now scans have unveiled the extent of his injury.

The 29-year-old will be likely to take no part in Premier League games against Newcastle, Arsenal, Stoke and Leicester, but will be hoping to recover in time for the visit of Manchester City on May 17.

“Scans this week revealed a grade two hamstring strain which will keep the French international sidelined for around three to four weeks,” read a club statement.

Marvin Emnes and Benfica loanee Nelson Oliveira will be forced to compete to fill Gomis’ spot when facing Leicester City on Saturday.

Swansea City are currently eighth in the Barclays Premier League having accumulated 47 points, four points ahead of West Ham in ninth.
