Man United to use Hernandez in Clyne deal

Manchester United could be ready to offer Javier Hernandez to Southampton as part of a deal for Nathaniel Clyne.

United boss Louis van Gaal has been interested in Saints full-back Clyne since his arrival at Old Trafford, citing the need for the club to improve their full-back options after rotating a number of players at right-back this season.

The England defender has been in superb form this season and has gained interest from other clubs too, including Premier League leaders Chelsea.

However, after learning of Southampton’s interest in Javier Hernandez; United are seemingly ready to offer him as bait to sign Clyne.

Hernandez is currently on loan with Spanish side Real Madrid but has failed to make an impact in La Liga.

Ronald Koeman, however, is a keen admirer and wants to add the Mexican’s experience next season.
