Manchester Untied legend Eric Cantona has backed his former club to win the Premier League title next season.
United have been in superb form of late and have now closed the gap on league leaders Chelsea.
And, whilst a potential title this season seems very unlikely, many believe that Louis van Gaal’s side have what it takes to push Jose Mourinho’s Blues, Manchester City and Arsenal next season.
Cantona, who has watched on this season believes that next season will see the club correct their early season mistakes and become a force in English football once more.
“Sometimes you have a season when you have to lose games and you finish fourth, fifth. But it’s a great club. It will be at the top of the table,” he told reporters in Shanghai. “Next year, they can win the league.
“With a manager from Holland, it seems to be important for Manchester United, because it’s the same kind of philosophy for the game: Holland and Manchester United.”
