Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson, according to various reports.

Manchester United sent chief scout Jim Lawlor to watch the Brazilian forward in action for Lazio two weeks ago as they beat Hellas Verona 2-0 in which he scored.

Anderson, has now been added to Van Gaal’s list of potential summer targets after an impressive run of performances, but according to a report, Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola is keen to snatch the midfielder from the grasp of United and other interested parties.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has also become a keen admirer of late.

The 21-year-old only signed a new contract with the Serie A club last week but it is understood that interested clubs are confident they can lure him to leave Italy.

It is believed that Lazio would be willing to sell for a fee of around £30m.
