Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has put Serbian Branislav Ivanovic at the top of his summer wish list.

It’s all happening at the Allianz Arena and Branislav Ivanovic may well be on his way to the Bundesliga Champions. Guardiola has supposedly put Brazilian centre-back Dante on the transfer list in order to fund a move for the Chelsea hard man.

Ivanovic struggled to get into the Chelsea team when he first joined the Blues in 2008. However, his physical presence coupled with his ability to join in with attacks and even score goals has seen the 31 year old establish himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

With just 16 months left on Ivanovic’s current deal at Chelsea, the Blues may well take the opportunity to cash in on the defender rather than watch him leave for free in 2016.

José Mourinho is an admirer of Ivanovic’s ability and work-rate, but with Chelsea’s 1-year contract offers to over 30s, a move to the Bundersliga may well be financially beneficial to the Serb as well as provide him with the guarantee of football at the top-level for the foreseeable future.

Ivanovic has won the Premier League, the Europa League and the Champions League at Chelsea and at 31 years old the chance for a new chapter in his career, working under a manager like Guardiola, at Bayern may well be too good to turn down.
