Juventus are in ‘pole position’ to sign Paulo Dybala, according to Palermo president Maurizio Zamperini.

Arguably the most wanted player in European football at present, Dybala has emerged as a target for a number of top European clubs with Premier League sides Arsenal, Manchester United and La Liga side Barcelona keen.

Dybala is keen to make a summer move after falling out with Palermo chief Maurizio Zamperini, who has publicly discussed his asking price and availability.

Arsenal had held discussions with Dybala and his representatives earlier this year, whilst Juventus have also been in constant contact with the Argentine’s agent.

And, it is now understood that the forward, dubbed the ‘next Sergio Aguero’ is closing in on a summer move to the Turin based club.

“Right now, Juve are in pole position,” Zamparini told France Football. “They want to close the deal in a week. But, of course, I want the best possible deal. Dybala is being auctioned.

“The Bianconeri have offered me €35m (£25m), but I want €40m or more. I’m also dealing with Arsenal.

“Paris Saint-Germain have requested information from Dybala’s agent, they know the player is on the market.

“PSG are interested just as they are at Arsenal, Manchester City, Juventus, Inter, Roma and Napoli.”

A fee of £21.9m is expected to be agreed.
